About Joan E. Murray

Joan E. Murray is an entrepreneur and visionary who is passionate about helping people discover their destinies. She is known for her leadership skills and has been a catalyst for building and strengthening underserved communities. Joan has also held a prominent leadership position at Lakewood Church, one of the nation’s largest churches, located in Houston, Texas, under the leadership of Pastor Joel Osteen. In this role, she managed approximately 1,200 volunteers, conducted training sessions, and was responsible for strategic planning of various in-house and external conferences and church groups. Ms. Murray extends her Christian beliefs with messages of love and personal growth through her teaching, writings, books and conferences. 

She is the founder and CEO of Joan Murray Ministries (JMM) and Seeds Of Hope (SOH) Worldwide Missions. She has served in this ministry for 17.5 years. She is an international Bible teacher, pastor, speaker, author (28 books), and missionary. She desires to see people experience freedom, wholeness, and victory in all areas of life. She is currently serving the Veterans monthly at The DeGeorge Union Station (16 years) in Houston, TX. She has served various underserved and homeless communities throughout Houston, Galveston, and the surrounding areas. Currently, she provides several annual back-to-school outreaches throughout Texas and occasionally in Louisiana. Her current focus is on Houston, Humble, Brookshire, Spring, McAllen, Harlingen, San Juan, Cameron, Waller, and Hempstead. 

Joan has travelled extensively domestically and internationally, doing missionary work and conferences in 19 countries, sharing the gospel message, and she serves as an advisor to several churches and ministries. She has been featured on some of the largest Christian network platforms, such as TBN, Daystar, TCT Network, CTN, Destiny TV, and on international television networks, various magazines, and newspaper articles. Her program, “The Word with Joan Murray Ministries,” has been aired on a number of radio stations, such as KSBJ, 100.7 - The Word, and BPNRadio.
